Fredericia - Centralrenseanlægget

Fredericia – Centralrenseanlægget is the second largest wastewater treatment plant in Denmark. It collects and treats 10 million m3 of wastewater from local industries and households. In 2002, a Cambi thermal hydrolysis process unit was commissioned for the pre-treatment of waste activated sludge before anaerobic digestion. Fredericia has an objective to become CO2-neutral by 2030. Cambi contributes considerably to this ambition by enhancing the plant's biogas production, which is converted into green electricity, heat, and natural gas.
