Mumbai - Versova
Cambi has signed a landmark contract to deliver India's first thermal hydrolysis process (THP) systems to the Versova wastewater treatment plant, operated by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). The project will be built by DRN Infrastructure, a leading Indian construction and engineering company.
Cambi’s THP technology will revolutionize sludge processing at Versova by:
- Reducing anaerobic digester volume by up to two-thirds.
- Boosting energy yields and improving biosolids dryness.
- Producing Class A biosolids, safe for recycling to land, supporting Mumbai’s circular economy and farmers.
- Cutting biosolids odors, storage costs, and climate emissions.
Designed to endure Mumbai’s coastal climate, Cambi’s THP systems ensure reliability and long-term efficiency. The contract also includes digester coolers, steam boilers, and comprehensive operational support.
