Panama City - Juan Diaz
As part of the Panama Sanitation Program, Panama City expanded the Juan Díaz wastewater treatment plant, currently serving the city's urban population. The city's health ministry opted for Cambi's thermal hydrolysis process as pretreatment for anaerobic digestion to achieve the goal of doubling capacity. The plant will eventually serve two million inhabitants and plans to use their high-quality biosolids on land.
The Cambi unit was delivered to Juan Diaz in 2021.
