The Strongford Sewage Treatment Works serves Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme in the United Kingdom, representing a population equivalent of about 1,410,000. The plant is owned and operated by Severn Trent.
In 2020, Cambi commissioned a B4 system that will contribute to Severn Trent's goals to reduce operating costs, increase renewable energy production, and create pathogen-free biosolids that are suitable for land application. The site houses the second thermal hydrolysis process system delivered to Severn Trent, following Minworth Treatment Works in Birmingham.
