Warsaw - Południe
Poland’s Południe wastewater treatment plant (also called the South Plant) in Warsaw is an essential utility treating around 25% of the capital city’s sewage. It uses an emerging THP configuration called I-THP, with the thermal hydrolysis process taking place after digestion and before a second digestion step. For sites with sufficient digestion capacity, this setup improves on the advantages of the hydrolysis process.
The THP system was turned over to the client, MPWiK Warszawa, in 2023.
