Techno-Economical Analysis of Anaerobic Digestion Pre-treatment Technologies for a UK Site

With the ever-increasing interest around the world to extract more energy and residuals from municipal waste sludges, increase the sludge capacity of the site and improve the final cake product, the pretreatment technologies to anaerobic digestion (AD) that enable such benefits have multiplied. Utilities are also more aware of how different drivers mean different pre-treatment technologies might be more suitable than others depending on the site. Given the growing variety of options in the market, an indepth analysis of the potentially suitable technologies is crucial.
