    Abstract

    This paper describes how the process treats biodegradable organic waste and converts it to renewable energy. This paper should encourage and will assist energy companies, waste management companies and consultants to carry out comprehensive feasibility studies prior to investment, including technological, economic and environmental aspects.
     
    Governmental and municipal bodies will also be able to pursue scenario studies involving waste to energy systems and their impact on the environment, and measure the environmental consequences of possible regulatory regimes.
